![]() I didn't mind having to do this as I really didn't play that game too much. I found that if I ran TS3 as admin and launched it AFTER the game, it would work. Not sure if this the right place to post, but I'm hoping someone can help me fix an issue I've had for a long time now.īasically since the game came out, GTA V would either make my push to talk button not work after launching game, or force voice activation on. Please, reply with a proper solution before making an assumption and merging my submission with a plethora of others that may or may not be specifically related. The only application I have running as admin is TeamSpeak3. If any other information is needed, please, let me know.ĭante696 - Not running the game as admin is not the solution. This is crucial to getting to work as the gaming syndicate I'm with enforces PtT in order to cut down on open mic and background noise. Both keys work when TS3 is in focus but not when another window is in focus. Tried different hotkey in place of my original hotkey for PtT to function. Uninstall, delete configurations, and reinstall latest version from website (as of ). Running as Administrator does not fix this problem. Problem: PtT only works when TeamSpeak 3 window is in focus. By setting the Logitech software to admin mode it seems to have solved the issue. I assume this is also the thing that was preventing me from using PTT in admin-run programs like PlanetSide. I use Logitech software to program the keys, and I use one of these keys for my PTT so I can easily use comms in shooters etc without taking my hands off the controls.Īnyway, apparently when I turned admin mode on for TS3, I guess the Logitech software had some sort of conflict and wouldn't allow the mouse to push the PTT key in the program. Those buttons link to keyboard keys that I do not normally use like ',. I have had a brainwave after a few hours of troubleshooting and I think I have the problem pinned down.īasically, I have a mouse with buttons on it. They still ask me for permission to modify files. I have disabled "Run as Admin" in these programs but nevertheless the little shield on the shortcut - and the problem - persists. Example programs that have this problem: FRAPS, Battleforge, almost every InstallShield wizard, PlanetSide, Railworks 3. I am running Windows 7 with a Sound Plaster X-fi sound card with analogue head phones. Turning TS3 to voice activation helps in some games/programs, but not others. I have searched for this problem but every suggestion is to run TS3 as admin, which just makes the problem worse and seems to be exactly the opposite of what everyone else is having. I have tried running in every variation of compatibility mode, and running TS3 as an admin just makes it so that I can't talk at all! I have found that in programs with the little shield ("Run as Admin", or programs that otherwise alter the files like downloaders, installers etc), my push to talk will simply not activate. I turned on mic activation clicks so I could test this. Click the DOWNLOAD NOW button there to save the setup wizard, and then open that to add WinHotKey to windows.I noticed not long ago that my TS3's push to talk does not work in some games/programs, and especially installers. Add it to Windows 10 from the WinHotKey Softpedia page. WinHotKey is one of the packages you can use to set up customized Windows 10 keyboard shortcuts. There are a few programs available for Windows 10, and some of those are free programs. You can do a lot more with extra third-party software. Adding Custom Hotkeys With Third-Party Software Now, pressing that key and Ctrl + Alt will shut down, restart, or log you out of Windows 10, depending on what you entered in the first text box of the Create Shortcut wizard. That adds the shortcut to the desktop, as shown below. ![]() Press Finish in order to exit the Create Shortcut configuration. For example, you can name the shortcut “shutdown” if the shortcut shuts down Windows. ![]()
